Pantry

These are the ingredients we try to have stocked at all times.

Olive Oil

We used to live right round the corner from Frankie’s 457 Spuntino, a great modern Italian bistro, and they make their own extra-virgin olive oil from plantations in Italy. Best stuff around if you can get hold of some.

Salt

For most general purposes, coarse kosher salt like Morton’s is great. (Don’t use iodized table salt!)

When you need the salt to add visual decoration or a crunchy texture, or if you need a gentler salt flavor, use Maldon Sea Salt.
